Introduction

Welcome, I’m Janet Gonzalez-Salas, a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of healthcare experience and founder of GPS Mental Health & Wellness. I believe the best treatment plans are built through conversation, collaboration, and taking the time to understand your whole story before creating a path forward together. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and free from judgment, so you can speak openly about what has been weighing on you. I provide care for adolescents, adults, and older adults, with in-person appointments in Coral Springs and telehealth throughout Florida. Care is available in English and Spanish. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individualized care for anxiety, depression, ADHD, women’s mental health concerns, grief, sleep difficulties, life transitions, and other concerns that may be affecting how you feel and function. When therapy would be helpful, I also collaborate with a licensed mental health therapist so your care can be more connected and coordinated when appropriate. When medication is part of the plan, I want you to understand what you are taking, why it may help, and what your options are so you can feel informed and involved in your care. I also look at the bigger picture, including physical health, stress, relationships, sleep, lifestyle, and life experiences, because mental health is rarely about one thing. Whether you are navigating a difficult season or simply feeling unlike yourself, you do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can start with what is happening now and work toward greater clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.
