I have a short waitlist. Clients often come to me because they don't have anyone they can talk to, or they don't want to burden loved ones. Most of my clients struggle with anxiety and/or depression. Some find me because they've spent years struggling with medical conditions, desperately searching for a diagnosis. They're seeking support to cope with all the ways their health has impacted every aspect of their lives. Or maybe they are caring for someone that's been dealing with a health condition(s), and they recognize their own need for support. I specialize in working with adults with medical challenges/chronic illness (cancer, autoimmune disease), caregivers (for children, spouses, elderly parents), elderly/older adults, and people with cognitive challenges (Alzheimer's Disease, dementia). I’ve worked with people who are dying and people grieving a loved one's death. I've supported moms (w/babies to adult children) through highs & lows of motherhood w/a compassionate ear & creative problem solving. I help clients develop coping skills and self care to support them through times of stress. They learn about their mental health, build compassion for themselves and others, and become more flexible and adaptable. They gain confidence in themselves while decreasing uncomfortable feelings such as anxiety and depression. The most important factor for successful therapy is developing a supportive relationship between client and therapist. This relationship we’ll form is the foundation upon which positive changes occur. I think you’ll find my approach to be caring, genuine, and focused on your needs and goals. I provide in-person sessions on Thursdays in Austin, TX. I provide online therapy Mon-Fri for clients in California, Texas, & Mississippi using a platform similar to Zoom. In California I am in-network with United Healthcare and Humana. I cannot take Medicare in CA. In Texas and Mississippi I am in-network with Medicare, United Healthcare and Humana I’d love to speak with you about how I can support you.
