Jared earned his M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Framingham State University and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts. He completed his undergraduate studies at Boston University, where he also began his early work in ministry, leading formation groups and Bible studies — work that helped shape his enduring interest in the interior life and the Catholic Church’s understanding of the human person. He has been practicing individual mental health counseling since 2020 and has spent recent years serving as a therapist within church contexts, working closely with clients seeking a faithful, grounded approach to emotional and spiritual challenges. His clinical experience includes helping adults navigate anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, family-related difficulties, and the spiritual confusion or distress that can accompany scrupulosity. Jared founded Contra Mundum Counseling to offer therapy that is both thoughtful and deeply rooted in the Catholic vision of the person. He provides telehealth for clients across Massachusetts and also maintains limited in-person availability. His approach emphasizes clarity, steadiness, and a collaborative pace — attentive to both the emotional realities clients face and the deeper questions of meaning, purpose, and resilience that often arise alongside them. Having lived in Massachusetts his entire life, Jared brings a grounded familiarity with the region’s culture and a longstanding commitment to the life of the Church. He approaches the therapeutic relationship with respect, patience, and a contemplative spirit, aiming to help clients cultivate interior stability and a way forward marked by truth and peace.
