Introduction

Jared Pryer is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois. Before joining Pathways Counseling, he spent six years in private practice in Mt. Vernon, IL. He enjoys working with teens, adults, and senior adults, walking alongside them through their struggles. Jared seeks to live out the Apostle Paul’s encouragement in Galatians 6:2: “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” He earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2007. From 2005 to 2011, Jared served on the staff of First Baptist New Orleans and its sister nonprofit, Baptist Crossroads, where he coordinated volunteer teams and disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Currently, Jared teaches a Sunday School class at his church and has participated in numerous mission trips around the world, supporting missionaries through counseling and other forms of care. He has a deep heart for serving, encouraging, and strengthening pastors, missionaries, and others in ministry.
