A lot of the men I work with are doing well on the outside, but something underneath is asking for attention. Life works. And still, there's a flatness, or a distance from your own life, that can be hard to name and harder to talk about. My work goes underneath that. Talking about something and moving through it are different things - less about reliving your story, more about releasing it. I draw on EMDR, which can settle a charged memory without making you relive it; somatic work, which listens to what your nervous system has been carrying while you kept everything running; and parts work, which lets the protectors that held the line rest. Together, they help shift the deeper patterns that keep you feeling stuck, flat, or distant from your own life. None of it asks you to drop your guard. Sometimes walls have wisdom. They don't have to come down for the work to start. I work primarily with men, and I'm welcoming to people of all genders and identities. I'm a gay man, and I work with men of all orientations. If you recognize yourself in any of this, we can start with a conversation.
