Introduction

If you’re a teen or young adult feeling pressure to constantly perform or meet high expectations, you’re not alone. I work with “Type A” high achievers and first- or second-generation individuals navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, self-esteem challenges, and identity questions, all while balancing family, cultural expectations, and their own needs. I’m a South Asian, gender-affirming therapist offering culturally responsive therapy across Texas and California. I work with clients who want a space that feels honest and supportive, without being passive. We talk openly, name patterns clearly, and focus on practical ways to move forward, especially around perfectionism, people-pleasing, and boundaries. My style is conversational but direct. You won't need to over-explain your culture or come in with everything figured out. Therapy is a place to slow things down, get real about what’s working and what isn’t, and build confidence in choices that actually feel aligned with you.
