👋 Hi, I'm Jas (: I"m a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#159728) and Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (#21170) who believes that self-understanding, self-compassion, and a sense of fulfillment are the keys to personal well-being. Our purpose is to experience our world and learn about ourselves so that we can make conscious choices that contribute to a meaningfully-lived life. I tend to focus on values and identity exploration as well as improving self-esteem, -efficacy, and -advocacy. I believe that our relationship with self can provide insights and tools to impact our relationships with others and the environments we occupy. I am a San Diego, CA native and studied at UCSD and PLNU. I've worked with children and families in outpatient settings and within schools, and in community mental health serving young adults and adults. I most enjoy working with teens and young adults through their late 20s, during significant eras of self-exploration. I practice cultural awareness and humility throughout my work, especially with clients who identify with minority cultures, including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ groups. While pursuing dual-licensure in the State of California, I conduct therapy under the direct supervision of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Lauren Hoover (#143979).
