Hi! My name is Jasmine Samuel, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisee (Supervisee in Social Work) with over 10 years of experience in behavioral health, including more than 4 years providing direct mental health services. I have a special interest in supporting individuals through life’s transitions and enjoy working with teens and young adults as they navigate identity development, relationships, academic or career changes, and emerging adulthood. I am especially passionate about perinatal mental health, helping mothers and mothers-to-be navigate the emotional challenges that can arise during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. As a certified birth and postpartum doula and student midwife, I bring a holistic understanding of the perinatal journey and the complex emotional, physical, and relational shifts that can occur during this season of life. My clinical background includes working with individuals experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), anxiety, depression, OCD, schizophrenia, trauma, crisis, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and substance use disorders. I am also a CSAC supervisee and have experience supporting individuals in recovery. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), integrating evidence-based approaches that empower clients to better understand their thoughts, build coping skills, and move toward meaningful change. I believe that healing begins with connection, and I strive to create a warm, supportive, and empowering space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. I view my role as a therapist as helping people reconnect with their strengths and discover tools to live as their most authentic selves. My long-term goal is to specialize as a Perinatal Mental Health Therapist, and I am honored to support individuals and families as they grow, heal, and transition into new seasons of life. Outside of my clinical work, I’m a proud pet mom to my dog, Thor, and my cat, Estrella. I value time with family and friends, traveling, being in nature, hiking, and spending time near water. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoy working with diverse populations and cultures.
