Introduction

Retired Air Force Mental Health Officer | LCSW | Military & Veteran Mental Health | Couples Therapy | Telehealth Across Multiple States I help veterans, military members, first responders, professionals, and couples navigate the parts of life that usually stay behind closed doors — stress, burnout, trauma, communication breakdown, transition struggles, and the pressure of carrying everything for everyone else. My background includes over 17 years of military service in both enlisted and officer roles, including leadership positions in military mental health and quality improvement. Having served alongside service members and their families through deployments, reintegration, operational stress, and major life transitions, I understand military culture beyond the textbook level. Today, I provide evidence-based virtual therapy through Your Way Therapy, working with adults and couples across Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and West Virginia. Specialties include: Military and veteran mental health Couples and relationship counseling Trauma and operational stress Anxiety, depression, and burnout High-responsibility professionals Communication and conflict patterns Life transitions and identity shifts Training and approaches include: Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 3 Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Prolonged Exposure (PE) Motivational Interviewing (MI) Trauma-informed care I believe therapy should feel practical, collaborative, and human — not clinical for the sake of being clinical. My goal is to create a space where people can talk honestly, rebuild connection, and move forward with clarity. “Life is hard. Let’s talk about it.”
