Introduction

Jason Kougan, LSW Licensed Social Worker Whether you’re feeling stuck at work, worn down by anxiety or depression, caught in conflict with people you care about, or in the middle of a big life change, Jason Kougan can help you sort out what’s going on and what you want next. He works with adults, adolescents, children, and parents, and has a particular specialty in student athletes balancing the pressures of sports and school. Before joining Garden Health Group, Jason spent years advising and supporting students at Dominican University, helping them through academic pressure, big transitions, and the work of figuring out who they want to be. Jason looks at the whole picture: your health, your thoughts, your relationships, and the world around you, and how they all shape what you’re going through. Together, you’ll create a brave, nonjudgmental space to get clear on what matters most. From there, you’ll set meaningful goals, work on the patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that keep tripping you up, and build resilience by drawing on your own strengths and values. That might look like handling sadness or fear differently, communicating more clearly, coping with stress or trauma, or noticing what sets off strong reactions. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own. You don’t have to have it all figured out first. Jason will meet you where you to expand resilience, self-awareness, and stronger relationships.
