For most, looking for a new therapist is daunting. You're struggling and you want to feel better. Now you’re facing an overwhelming number of options and you just want to get started with someone who can help. My advice to you is to trust yourself enough to make a choice and to get the ball rolling; don’t get hung up on making a “perfect” choice for who your therapist might be. Getting started is what's most important. In my work, my primary focus is to help individuals who are struggling with technology overuse. This could be too much screen time, social media, online gaming and gambling, or porn. All of these are common challenges that can cause pain, shame, and emotional dysregulation. There are many ways to address the underlying problems, and my aim is to bring about meaningful and long-lasting relief. Your technology use doesn’t define who you are. In therapy, I encourage you to come as you are and to feel welcome in a judgement-free space. If you think I might be able to help you, please reach out and I would be happy to schedule a free phone consultation.
