What to Expect in Therapy With Me Starting therapy can feel like a big step—and it is. But it’s also a powerful one. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just ready for something to shift, my job is to help you move forward in a way that feels real and sustainable. I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, which means we’ll look at how your thoughts, feelings, and actions all connect and more importantly, how to start shifting them in ways that support your goals. We’ll work together not with me telling you what to do, but with us figuring it out as a team. You bring your experiences, your doubts, your hopes, and your honesty. I’ll bring curiosity, support, and tools that are grounded in what actually works. We’ll talk about the patterns that are showing up in your life, what might be holding you back, and what you want to do about it. And if you’re not totally sure what you want yet? That’s okay, too. Motivation doesn’t have to be at 100% to start. Part of our work will be uncovering what matters most to you—and helping you build momentum, one step at a time.
