Hi! I'm Javier, a Boricua mental health therapist and healer with family roots in the eastern shores of Puerto Rico - Ceiba, Fajardo, and Yabucoa. Like many of us, my path has been one of returning to ancestral wisdom, to land connection, and to ways of healing that honor our whole selves. My journey of conscious & intentional reconnection to my Taino heritage started in 2019, and it's deeply shaped how I show up in healing spaces. Through my practice at Eutierria Therapy, I weave together nature-based healing, cultural reclamation, and collective transformation. I'm particularly passionate about supporting other BIPOC folks who are finding their way back to their own cultural medicines and earth-based wisdom. I believe healing happens best when we remember our connections - to land, to ancestry, to community, to our authentic selves. As an enrolled member of the Higuayagua Taino of the Caribbean, I'm committed to decolonial practices that honor Indigenous ways of knowing while actively supporting indigenous sovereignty and environmental justice. I also facilitate spaces where I help other healers explore what it means to Decolonize and ReIndigenize our Healing through discussions, focus groups, and my Wholistic Minds Book Club. These spaces are open to anyone seeking to explore healing that goes beyond individual wellness to embrace collective liberation and ecological connection. My practice integrates nature-based healing with decolonial approaches, specializing in supporting individuals through cultural reconnection, ecological grief, and colonial trauma. I work primarily with BIPOC individuals seeking to rebuild relationships with their cultural heritage, ancestral wisdom, and the natural world. Through Eutierria Therapy, I offer a unique therapeutic framework that recognizes the interconnection between personal and ecological wellbeing. This approach combines eco-psycho-somatic practices, land-based healing, and traditional wisdom to address both individual and collective transformation. I place particular emphasis on supporting clients in developing sustainable relationships with nature, community, and their authentic selves. My therapeutic work draws from my training in trauma-informed care, somatic practices, and Indigenous healing traditions, always maintaining appropriate cultural boundaries and community accountability. I have specific experience in facilitating healing for those navigating religious trauma, cultural displacement, and gender expression, particularly through movement and nature connection practices. In addition to individual work, I facilitate group healing spaces and professional development for other practitioners interested in decolonial and ecological approaches to therapeutic practice. My methodology emphasizes practical tools for reconnection while honoring the complexity of each person's healing journey.
