Introduction

My approach to therapy is all about the relationship that is built between a client and therapist. If I had a superpower (I like to imagine that I do :) it would be my ability to easily connect with people from various walks of life and diverse backgrounds. I do not shy away from difficult situations, and when you meet me in person you will quickly discover that I am genuine and open about what ever it is that brings you to therapy. I am able to help most anyone to discover hope, positivity, and very likely uncover a touch of humor about most any situation in life. Laughter can be a powerful medicine, but sometimes it’s hard to find it amid life’s most difficult moments and let’s be honest, life can be unpredictable and messy! I meet people as they are and where they are [psychologically, emotionally, spiritually, socially] with an open mind and a kind heart. I firmly believe that ‘Everyone can use a therapist for some reason or another!’, so never be too busy, too ashamed or too proud to seek counseling when you feel lead to do so. Experience I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania. I earned my Master’s Degree of Science in 2011 from Gwynedd-Mercy University, in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and an Associate’s Degree in both Human Services (MCCC) & Photography (Art Institute of Philadelphia). While counseling is my passion in which I have been happily involved with over a span of many years, I have accumulated an eclectic medley of work experiences over the years. Professionally speaking, I have worked extensively with both adults and adolescents, in private, public and alternative school settings. Aside from counseling and education, I have been everything from Santa’s elf (no photos exist!), to a waitress, an at-home mom, a high school English teacher, a theater prop and costume designer, Air National Guard drug testing manager, an auction clerk and consultant, and many other adventures in between. At my spacious, cozy office in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, I offer therapy services for individuals (adolescent through adult), families and couples. Some areas that I am experienced with, but not limited to, are: anxiety & depression, hoarding behaviors, school-related issues (truancy, apathy, juvenile delinquency), ADHD, end of life preparation, grief & loss, "crisis-intervention" (post-crisis, post-hospitalization, ongoing suicidal ideation), the LBGT community and military personnel and their families.
