Mental Health, Insomnia, and Restorative Sleep I am licensed as an LPC-Associate in Texas, I specialize in behavioral sleep medicine and help clients with both mental health and sleep challenges. I work under the supervision of LaTia Green, LPC-S. Poor sleep can be a symptom of deeper physical or mental health issues, but it's also a behavioral challenge that can be treated. I use gold-standard, evidence-based treatments like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) to help clients get the restorative sleep they need. I also assist clients with medication tapers, helping them safely stop using addictive sleep medications. Throughout my career, I've been a pioneer in the field. I've served on the national sleep awareness roundtable with the CDC and NIH, acted as the national education chair for sleep, authored the first textbook, and wrote university curricula on the subject. I also owned and operated my own sleep and neuro centers for 15 years. I help people overcome sleep challenges caused by internal and external factors and issues like anxiety, depression, or PTSD and nightmare disorder. I also help with CPAP compliance and acclimation. Sleep is a pillar of health, and when it's disrupted, it can leave you feeling irritable, anxious, and exhausted. I'm dedicated to helping you find a healthier way to get the restorative sleep you need so you can feel your best.
