I work with adolescents and adults going through challenging life transitions and/or needing support with managing their post-traumatic stress, anxiety, or depression. I firmly believe that people have an innate capacity for healing and occasionally need help accessing their own strength to overcome challenges in their lives. When working with my clients, my focus is on seeing the best in them and helping them keep focused on their goals without losing their unique essence. Being happy and successful looks different for every person. I help you reach and maintain your best life without judgment or moral imposition. My clinical style is eclectic. I use tools from different therapeutic traditions to help you reach your goals. When you are working on modifying your behavioral patterns, we may use strategies from Cognitive Behavioral traditions, and when you are experiencing a crisis of faith or existential angst, transpersonal psychology ideas are more helpful. I think of the whole person and their social environment, bring in somatic therapies’ tools and Attachment Theory principles into our work together. Some of what we gain in therapy is about cognitive insights, and some of the benefits come from a felt experience that might be difficult to put into words. Therapists, as all people, are products of their positionality, and my life experiences inform my quality of presence. I was born in the Republic of Moldova when it was still part of the Soviet Union, fled the war in 1992 as a child, and was raised in Germany. I immigrated to the USA at 17 years old, and have lived in California and Oregon since then. I have been married for longer than dating apps exist, and we have two children together. Born into a Jewish-Christian family in communism, I have a dynamic relationship with spirituality and see the divine in all that exists. I am an internationally exhibiting artist working in a wide range of media and specializing in printmaking. I am also a licensed psilocybin facilitator in Oregon since 2023.
