Introduction

You may be highly capable in every area of your life and still feel deeply troubled by what is happening in your family. From the outside, your life may appear polished, accomplished, and fully in order. In private, conversations may shut down, tension may rise quickly, and important relationships may feel strained, fragile, or painfully distant. You may be the one who keeps everything moving. The one others rely on. The one who absorbs the stress, manages the emotions, and tries to prevent things from falling apart. Over time, that role can become exhausting, especially when the people you care about most seem pulled into the same painful patterns. For over 25 years, I have worked with individuals, parents, adult children, and adult families of any constellation who want more than temporary relief. Many of my clients come to therapy when communication has broken down, resentment has built over time, or a relationship that matters deeply feels at risk. I have extensive experience helping parents and their adult children when contact has become strained, conversations feel impossible, or the family no longer knows how to reach one another in a productive way. I also work with sibling conflict, caregiving strain, grief, emotional cutoffs, long-standing family tension, and the cumulative impact of unresolved hurt. I work with high-achieving professionals who often have very little time and need therapy that is both efficient and deeply focused. I also support individual spouses who want to make sense of their relationship, understand recurring patterns, and gain clarity about how they want to move forward. Whether you come on your own or with family members, our work will focus on understanding the deeper pattern beneath the conflict so that change is thoughtful, lasting, and real. My style is direct, perceptive, and grounded. I will help you move beyond circular arguments and surface explanations so we can get to the heart of what is actually happening. This is not about assigning blame or repeating the same painful story. It is about clarifying what has gone unspoken, identifying what keeps repeating, and creating a more constructive way forward. Over the course of my work, I have helped many clients repair, preserve, and strengthen family relationships that once felt close to being lost. If an important relationship in your life feels too significant to leave to chance, this may be the right time to begin. Complimentary 15-minute video consultations are available. For high-achieving professionals and families who prefer a more concentrated and efficient format, 3-hour power sessions are also available.
