Introduction

Hi, I’m Jen Aguon, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Leap of Hope Therapy PLLC. My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by both professional training and lived experience. I was raised on a small island in the Pacific, where the importance of community, resilience, and connection is deeply rooted in everyday life. These values continue to guide my work today. My journey eventually led me to Houston, where I am honored to support individuals and families from diverse backgrounds as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward healing and growth. If you are worried about being in the right place, ask yourself the following questions: Am I losing interest in things I normally enjoy? Do small tasks feel unusually exhausting? Do I feel stuck in the same patterns, even when I try to change? Do I feel like I can’t really open up to the people in my life? Am I finding it harder and harder to do tasks like brush my teeth or take a shower? Do I have a hard time shutting my mind off? Do I keep thinking about the same things over and over again? If you answered yes to any of the questions, you are in the right place. Here at Leap of Hope Therapy PLLC, we understand that healing is not linear. We meet you where you are at and encourage you to move at your own pace. I approach therapy with the belief that it should be a collaborative, respectful, and individualized process. No two individuals are the same, and therapy should reflect that. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood—without judgment or pressure. Together, we will work at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and fostering meaningful, lasting change. I strive to provide an environment that is inclusive, affirming, and grounded in empathy and trust. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, I am here to walk alongside you with compassion and intention. Outside of my professional work, I value maintaining balance and connection in my own life. I am an avid traveler who finds joy in exploring new places, cultures, and perspectives, which continues to deepen my understanding of others. I am also a proud mother, and that role has profoundly shaped my patience, empathy, and commitment to supporting families and individuals with care and intention. It is a privilege to be part of your journey, and I look forward to supporting you as you take meaningful steps toward healing and hope.
