Introduction

WHY A NEW DAWN? Jen named her practice "A New Dawn" to reflect the light that comes after a long, dark night—a symbol of illumination, healing, clarity, and renewal. WHY IS JEN DIFFERENT THAN OTHER BETRAYAL TRAUMA THERAPISTS? Jen works with women who have experienced betrayal—often caused by a spouse's repeated patterns of deception through hidden pornography use, infidelity, or secret sexual behaviors. Using a trauma-informed approach and principles from Dr. Omar Minwalla's Integrity Abuse Disorder Model, Jen helps clients recognize the systemic nature of trauma, restore their sense of safety, and rebuild trust in themselves. Therapy becomes a space where truth, boundaries, and emotional clarity lead the way forward. Jen brings warmth, compassion, and deep respect to every session. Her approach is client-centered and grounded in the belief that each woman’s healing journey is sacred and personal. She understands the complex layers of trauma caused by a spouse's secret sexual basement—not just the pain of the betrayal itself, but the confusion, gaslighting, and identity shattering that often follow. Jen helps clients identify the impacts of relational trauma, reconnect with their intuition, and begin making empowered choices aligned with their values. CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING Jen is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Therefore, Jen offers LDS clients cultural understanding that they might not receive from other therapists. However, Jen works comfortably with people of any religious background – ALL ARE WELCOME. In Jen's intake paperwork, she asks you to indicate whether or not you would like your Christian or other spiritual beliefs incorporated into your sessions. JEN'S QUALIFICATIONS Jen is a licensed clinical mental health counseling associate (LMHCA) through the Washington State Department of Health. She is trained to diagnose and adheres to the American Counseling Association’s Code of Ethics. Jen takes continuing education courses to maintain her licensure. Jen is especially excited to be actively training in the Minwalla Model for treating Deceptive Sexual Trauma and Integrity Abuse Disorder, and she thoughtfully incorporates its principles to support her clients.
