Introduction

******Due to unforeseen circumstances requiring my immediate attention I have paused my practice. I plan to reopen my doors Winter 2026. Please reach out to get on my waitlist. Thank you!***** WHY A NEW DAWN? Jen named her practice "A New Dawn" to reflect the light that comes after a long, dark night—a symbol of illumination, healing, clarity, and renewed hope. Using person-centered, trauma informed therapy, Jen works with women who have experienced betrayal—often caused by a spouse's repeated patterns of deception through hidden pornography use, infidelity, or secret sexual behaviors. Jen helps women who are feeling stuck, hopeless, unseen, and who are desperately seeking their personal new dawn. Jen understands the complex layers of trauma caused by a spouse's secret sexual basement—not just the pain of the betrayal itself, but the confusion, gaslighting, and identity shattering psychological and emotional abuse that spouses suffer. Jen helps clients identify the impacts of relational trauma, reconnect with their intuition, and begin making empowered choices aligned with their values. Jen helps clients recognize the systemic nature of trauma, restore their sense of safety, and rebuild trust in themselves. Therapy becomes a space where truth, boundaries, and emotional clarity lead the way forward. ____________ CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING Jen is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and brings lived experience and cultural understanding that may be meaningful for clients who share this background. For LDS clients, this can offer an added layer of connection and insight that supports therapeutic safety and trust. Jen also recognizes that some individuals navigating betrayal trauma may have encountered distressing or invalidating experiences within religious systems or communities, even when those experiences were caused by well-intentioned individuals. She works compassionately with clients to explore and process these experiences in ways that honor and respect their personal faith, beliefs, and values—whatever they may be. Jen welcomes clients from all religious, spiritual, and non-religious backgrounds. As part of the intake process, you’ll have the opportunity to indicate whether and how you would like your spiritual or religious beliefs to be integrated into your sessions. __________ JEN'S QUALIFICATIONS Jen is a licensed clinical mental health counseling associate (LMHCA) through the Washington State Department of Health. She is trained to diagnose and adheres to the American Counseling Association’s Code of Ethics. Jen takes continuing education courses to maintain her licensure. ***Jen is very excited to be actively training in the Minwalla Model, a clinical and therapeutic approach designed to treat relational and sexual betrayal trauma. As part of this process, she is working toward certification in Deceptive Sexuality and Trauma Treatment (DSTT) and estimates being ready to ethically integrate this model into her practice early 2026.*** __________
