Introduction

Jen named her private practice A New Dawn to symbolize the first light after a long, dark night—a powerful image of hope and renewal. She works with women who have experienced betrayal or betrayal trauma, helping them navigate the deep pain and confusion that often follow. Through therapy, Jen supports her clients in taking meaningful steps toward healing, self-trust, and the light of their own new dawn. WHY CHOOSE JEN? Jen’s counseling approach is warm, compassionate, and person-centered. She is committed to helping women uncover the roots of their struggles, heal from betrayal and trauma, and move toward meaningful change. Jen draws on her professional training, life experience, and deep respect for each client’s unique journey. Having personally experienced the positive impact of therapy, she values the courage it takes to seek support and is honored to walk alongside others as they navigate their own paths to healing. CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING Jen is a Christian counselor and has served in various capacities with the children, teens, and women in her church. She also served as a missionary in Brazil. Therefore, Jen offers Christian clients cultural understanding that they might not get with other therapists. However, Jen works comfortably with people of any religious background – ALL ARE WELCOME. :) In Jen's intake paperwork, she asks you to indicate whether or not you would like your Christian or other faith incorporated into your sessions. ABOUT JEN Outside of work Jen is a real person. She is a wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandma. Jen has lived in Utah, Idaho, Virginia, Nebraska, Germany, Brazil, and now calls the beautiful state of Washington home. When she is not working you will likely find her decorating her home, spending time with her family, or serving in her church. JEN'S QUALIFICATIONS Jen is a licensed clinical mental health counseling associate (LMHCA) through the Washington State Department of Health. She is trained to diagnose, and adheres to the American Counseling Association’s Code of Ethics. Jen takes continuing education courses to maintain her licensure.
