Introduction

Psychotherapist Jen Polite is board certified (NCC) and licensed in New York (LMHC) and New Jersey (LPC). She works non-judgmentally with individuals seeking personal growth and change to manage anxiety, depression, transitions, and situational stress. Her therapeutic approach is holistic, psychoeducational, and psychodynamic in nature. Her practice is rooted in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and tailored to the needs of the individual. Specifically for couples, her approach is structured and rooted in The Gottman Method. The Gottman Method is an approach to couples therapy that includes a thorough assessment of the couple’s relationship and integrates research-based interventions. Jen works with clients to identify specific areas they seek to improve, and focuses treatment on the whole individual, taking into account personal, circumstantial, and social factors.
