Introduction

We are social beings – full of energy, abundance, and kindness. But we may not feel that way when our connections are frayed or broken. Isolation, anxiety, past traumas, and depression are feelings that remove very basic human needs from our lives – a sense of belongingness, and a sense of purpose. Being in therapy can help you reconnect simply by having someone to talk to who listens and who cares. You can tell a therapist those things that you are afraid to tell your friends or loved ones. A therapist is trained to listen to understand you. When you feel understood, you feel like you matter. You start feeling connected again. Hi! I am Jenn Dash Morris, LMHC. I love what I do; I help people recover from the trauma they've experienced in childhood and throughout their lives. I am a trauma informed therapist who uses DBT, CBT and EMDR therapies. I help clients learn, practice and effectively use coping and grounding skills for emotional regulation, soothing anxiety, and for relapse prevention. I work with individual adults 18 years old and up. I accept many major insurances through third party companies like Headway and Grow Therapy. Note: I am trained in couples counseling and will work with couples but only through private pay rates, no insurance, but as requested I can give you a superbill.
