I’m Jennifer French, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and owner of Uncomfortably Comfy Couch LLC. I provide virtual therapy for clients in South Carolina and Colorado, working with teens, adults, couples, and families who are ready to lean into the uncomfortably comfy places where change, growth, and connection begin. My work is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for the full story that brought you here. I specialize in working with teen and adult ADHD, autism, AuDHD, OCD, anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, and the emotional overwhelm that can come with trying to navigate a world that does not always feel built for your brain or nervous system. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. I take an in-the-moment, experiential, and relational approach, which means we do more than just talk about what is happening. Together, we slow things down, notice patterns as they show up, explore what your body and emotions are communicating, and build tools that fit your actual life. We may work on regulation, communication, executive functioning, boundaries, connection, repair, or learning how to respond to discomfort without being controlled by it. At Uncomfortably Comfy, my goal is to create a space that feels warm, direct, neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and deeply human. You do not have to show up perfectly here. The messy parts, protective parts, overwhelmed parts, and unsure parts are welcome too. This is a space to better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and begin leaning into the uncomfortable places with support, because those are often the places where real change, growth, and connection begin.
