I'm so glad you're here. I am passionate about the power of story to overcome shame and build resilience. I believe when you go unheard, you go unhealed. Through compassionate connection, we'll create a brave space where your story can unfold at your pace. Born and raised in Southern California, I received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Antioch University, Santa Barbara. My undergraduate degrees are in Sociology and Black Studies from UC Santa Barbara. I am passionate about the power of story to overcome shame and build resilience. Therapy is your time to show up for yourself, and it is an honor for me to show up with you. It is a collaborative space for me to witness your process and come alongside you as you deepen your understanding of yourself. My approach is compassionate, non-directive, and non-judgmental. Trust, I also keep it real with you. When we can both show up authentically in the room, healing and growth is a natural byproduct. We will develop an idea of the goals you would like to reach and work collaboratively to move closer to who and where you'd like to be as it pertains to your mental and emotional well-being. Through my own life experiences and continued training, becoming a therapist has allowed me to put my passion for mental and emotional healing into practice. I know what it's like to live without care and support, and I know the difference it makes to live with it. I strive to be that caring, non-judgmental presence I believe everyone deserves. The first session can be anxiety-provoking. Know that there is no blueprint for your personal therapy journey. I am ready to engage you and get to know you at your pace. I generally ask questions regarding your family of origin, gather an overview of your life experiences, and work to gain an understanding of what brings you to therapy.
