As humans, we exist within the contexts of our environments. I became a clinical social worker after working for many years in public policy and state government, and realized I wanted to be more directly engaged with people and communities. My practice as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker reflects these experiences by focusing on systems and strengths. My practice is guided by the principle that “everyone has everything they need in them to heal” (Frank Anderson, MD). We will work together to facilitate your healing, at your pace and comfort level. My practice utilizes tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), brainspotting and gazespotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal, and guided meditation, among other modalities.
