I provide integrative, evidence-based therapy to support adults and teens navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, and life transitions with greater clarity and self-compassion. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, whole-person approach that recognizes the importance of the nervous system in mental, physical and emotional well-being. I help clients identify and shift patterns that contribute to distress, develop practical tools for emotional and nervous system regulation, and build a more compassionate relationship with themselves. Therapy is collaborative and tailored to each person. I specialize in integrative therapy that combines evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, CBT, mindfulness practices, and art therapy to support trauma healing, anxiety relief, and meaningful personal growth. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). I completed a Master's degree in Art Therapy Counseling in 2002 and began a devoted study of yoga and mindfulness in 2004 upon moving to Los Angeles. This background allows me to bring mind-body awareness into therapy in a grounded, clinically appropriate way, supporting meaningful and sustainable change. Limited in-person sessions are available in Los Angeles, California for EMDR therapy and integrative counseling. Jennifer Moniz also provides telehealth therapy for clients throughout California and Missouri. Sessions offer a thoughtful and supportive space to slow down, reflect, and work through patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
