I’m a licensed therapist in Monterey, California. I’m originally from the Northeast, and I moved to Monterey to follow some of my passions, such as scuba diving, traveling, and being in nature. Before becoming a therapist, I was a teacher on three continents. It was both the best of times and the worst of times. The more I’ve traveled and the more I've met people from diverse backgrounds, the more I’ve come to believe that our thoughts, feelings, environment, and resources, help shape who we think we are and how we see the world and respond to others. Those experiences led me to pursue a different journey of self-reflection, healing, and personal growth. I became a therapist to help people explore and change their lives as well. Becoming more self-aware, enhancing inner resources, offering compassion to self and others, and learning to pause and respond versus reacting can help you change your world and transform your life. We all have a story to tell. I am here to help you make sense of yours. I am here to help you live the life you love. It takes a lot of courage to reach out when you need some help, and I look forward to supporting you and working with you on this journey together. I offer in-person as well as teletherapy sessions for those California residents who are unable to travel to Monterey. I provide trauma-focused, person-centered psychotherapy. I utilize an eclectic blend of modalities, such as Ego State Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Flash Technique, Hypnosis, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC). Let’s work together. I look forward to hearing from you.
