I work with adults navigating midlife transitions, with a particular focus on he emotional and relational changes that arise during perimenopause and menopause. Many of the people I support come in feeling overwhelmed with mood shifts, irritability, grief, anxiety, or a sense of losing themselves during this stage of life. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and psychodynamic, meaning we take time to understand how past experiences, relationships, and patterns are influencing the present. I offer a steady, collaborative space to slow down, make meaning of what's emerging, and develop greater emotional regulation, self-trust and self-compassion. I also integrate EMDR when appropriate to help process trauma and reduce emotional reactivity. Clients often describe me as grounded, thoughtful, and attuned. I work best with individuals and partners who are reflective, sensitive, and seeking depth rather than quick fixes. I believe this transition - while challenging - can also be a meaningful time of clarity, growth and reconnection to the self.
