Hello and thank you for visiting my site. I conduct outpatient psychotherapy for individuals (age 18 and up) and couples in relationships of all types. I work collaboratively with clients to develop and implement strategies for improved mental health and personal functioning. My therapeutic philosophy is that everyone has the internal capacity to heal and grow with appropriate support and guidance. Therapy with me tends to be solution-focused, goal oriented, and values-driven. I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, suicidal ideation, self-harm, emotional regulation, traumatic experiences, and more. In my practice, I provide trauma-informed services using a of variety of therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), behavioral strategies, and mindfulness. I am also a certified Level 1 therapist in the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. I have experience conducting relationship counseling with couples in joint sessions and individual sessions (for those who want to improve the functioning in the relationship but for whom joint sessions are not an option). I received my Master’s of Social Work from UW-Madison in 2017 and my BA from Purdue University in 1994. I hold an Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW) license in the state of Wisconsin (#130902-121).
