Let's work together to create the life you deserve to be living. Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck in life, or simply needing support? Maybe you have been struggling for a while. I approach therapy as an opportunity to listen, provide support, and assist you in developing clarity as well as new tools for addressing your concerns. Therapy can provide relief, insight, and strategies to help you become or return to your best version of yourself. Stop doing the things you don't want to be doing, and understand the life you desire. Please complete a request or set up a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your needs and see if we would be a good fit to work together. I am a relational therapist, which means I am interested in examining patterns clients engage in that support, maintain, and prevent the challenges/symptoms they are experiencing. I work with clients to explore the relationships they have with others, within their environments, and with themselves to understand where those relationships work effectively and where those patterns need adjustments or shifts in perspective. I also believe the therapy relationship is very important and works to provide a safe, compassionate space in which clients feel comfortable collaborating in their treatment. My approach to therapy is primarily psychodynamic with an emphasis on attachment theory and developmental theory. I also integrate mindfulness and self-compassion into my work. I specialize in treating women's issues, relational issues, and infertility/ pregnancy concerns as well as stress/anxiety, depression, and eating concerns. I have a special interest in working with college students, new moms, women balancing transition in life, and assessment (including evaluations for IVF, egg/sperm/embryon donations, and gestational carriers). I am also available for supervision and consultation for pre-licensed and new professionals. I am originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma. I attended the University of Oklahoma (BA, Med) and the University of North Texas (PhD). I also completed an APA-Accredited Internship at the University of Pennsylvania followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Southern California. I spent 10+ years in university counseling centers, most recently at SMU. I am also an adjunct instructor at Seton Hall University in their online Master’s Degree program. I have been in private practice since 2012, and I am a Licensed Psychologist in Texas and California. I also hold an interjurisdictional license to practice in most other states (PsyPact). I also have advanced training in perinatal mental health issues. I currently live in Dallas with my husband, 2 children, and 2 cats. Outside of work, I can be found chauffeuring kiddos and being a spectator at various youth sporting events. I also enjoy baking, reading by the water, college football, baseball, and quiet spaces (this one is elusive)!
