Jennifer Young, MSW, Registered Clinical Social Work Intern I’m Jennifer Young, a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming space where adolescents, teens, and women can feel supported, understood, and empowered. I specialize in working with individuals navigating trauma and PTSD, schizophrenia, ADHD, and OCD, helping them build resilience and reconnect with their strengths. My approach integrates evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brain Spotting, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I also incorporate parenting strategies, including 1-2-3 Magic Parenting, to support families in fostering healthy communication and connection. I hold a Master of Social Work degree from Brescia University and am a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist with additional training in Whole Health Action Management (WHAM) and Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP). My professional journey reflects my passion for supporting individuals through mental health challenges with compassion, education, and evidence-based care. Outside of my work, I love spending time on the water—boating, saltwater fishing, and snorkeling with my husband. We have had the privilege of raising four, now adult, children (and our 2 bonus children-in-law).
