I offer therapy that is grounded, direct, and deeply human. As a male therapist and veteran, I bring a perspective shaped by discipline, service, resilience, and an understanding of the weight people often carry silently. I know that many clients are looking for a space where they can speak honestly without feeling judged, minimized, or misunderstood. My goal is to create that kind of space—one where you can be real, feel respected, and work through difficult experiences with support and clarity. My clinical background was built in high-acuity settings where I worked with individuals facing substance use, legal involvement, trauma, and chronic stress. These experiences strengthened my ability to remain calm and steady in high-pressure situations while helping people navigate intense emotions, complicated histories, and major life challenges. My experience as a veteran also allows me to connect with clients who value structure, accountability, and a therapist who understands service, identity, and transition on a deeper level. I work primarily with young adults and middle-aged individuals navigating depression, anxiety, mood instability, identity questions, and major life transitions. I am especially passionate about working with personality-related challenges and helping clients better understand the deeper patterns that affect how they relate to themselves and others. I also bring significant experience with suicidality and risk management, which means I prioritize thoughtful safety planning while maintaining a calm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental approach. My therapeutic style is trauma-informed, collaborative, and evidence-based. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to build insight and shift unhelpful patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to strengthen emotional regulation and distress tolerance, and Interpersonal Therapy to explore the ways relationships and social systems influence mental health. I want therapy to be both practical and meaningful—supporting not only understanding, but real and lasting change. As a German-speaking therapist, I also offer the ability to connect with clients who feel more comfortable expressing themselves in German or who value working with someone who understands the importance of language, culture, and identity in the therapeutic process. For some, that added sense of familiarity can make therapy feel more natural, safe, and personal. At the center of my work is the belief that therapy should help you build a stronger relationship with yourself. My role is not to fix you, but to help you better understand your patterns, strengthen your coping skills, and develop the internal resources needed to move toward greater stability, self-awareness, and self-compassion.
