Introduction

Jeremy Smith, LPCC-S, is the Executive Director of City Care Counseling Center and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Supervisor with more than 15 years of experience in mental health and ministry. His treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Systems Therapy with families, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), as well as Motivational Interviewing (MI). He works with adults, youth, and families navigating a wide range of behavioral health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, bipolar, psychosis, domestic violence offenders and victims, substance misuse, and gambling. His background includes community mental health, co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment, program development, and collaboration with healthcare, courts, and community agencies. Prior to founding City Care Counseling Center, Jeremy served as the Co-Occurring Program Coordinator at Appleseed Community Mental Health Center and previously provided counseling in Colorado, where he also helped develop an inpatient opioid treatment program. Before becoming a counselor, he served on staff with Youth for Christ for eight years. Jeremy holds a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary and a Master's in Family Ministry from Winebrenner Theological Seminary and is passionate about integrating clinical excellence with Christian compassion.
