Introduction

Hello! My name is Jermelody Collins, and I am passionate about helping children and teens grow emotionally and build the skills they need to succeed in life. I have spent 19 years working in education, including 10 years as a classroom teacher and 9 years as a counselor, supporting young people through both academic and emotional challenges. I work with children and adolescents ages 5–18, with a special focus on helping children ages 5–12 develop emotional awareness and coping skills. I enjoy helping children learn how to understand their feelings, regulate emotions, build confidence, and develop healthy self-esteem in a supportive and safe environment. I also support teens who may be struggling with anxiety, stress, peer relationships, self-esteem, or school pressures. My goal is to help young people feel heard, understood, and empowered while learning tools they can use in everyday life. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri–St. Louis and my Master’s degree in School and Professional Counseling. I am currently providing counseling services under the supervision of Dr. Deanna Granger, But First, YOU, LLC.
