Life rarely follows a perfectly predictable path. Changes in relationships, family dynamics, careers, identity, or circumstances can leave us trying to find our footing in situations we never expected to face. At times, what we are carrying can feel heavier than we know how to manage on our own. I believe counseling can provide an opportunity to slow down, better understand what is happening, and find a way forward that feels more manageable and true to the life you want to live. As a Marriage and Family Counselor in training, this new chapter in my own life is dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate change, strengthen relationships, and work through difficult seasons. As both a parent and an Air Force veteran, I have experienced firsthand the importance of resilience, connection, adaptability, and compassionate communication. Those experiences have shaped the way I understand people and relationships, as well as my belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to feel understood, supported, and valued as they work toward growth and healing. My approach to counseling is grounded in empathy, respect, and practical support. Whether you are working through relationship struggles, strengthening family dynamics, adjusting to a significant life transition, or seeking greater personal clarity, I want to understand both where you are and where you hope to go. Together, we can identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, strengthen communication and understanding, and develop practical ways to approach the challenges in front of you. I believe change does not require becoming an entirely different person or family, but often begins with understanding what is happening, recognizing what is already working, and becoming intentional about what comes next. I have lived all over the world, especially in tropical climates, and those experiences have given me an appreciation for different people, places, cultures, and ways of life. I love to scuba dive, swim, and admire the ocean waves from the beach. Admittedly, I feel a little like a fish out of water living in Colorado, but I am making the most of this adventure and learning to appreciate what life away from the ocean has to offer. Life will continue to bring transitions, some we choose and others we never expected. You do not have to know exactly how to navigate every one of them. Sometimes finding your footing begins with having someone help you understand where you are, what you are carrying, and where you would like to go next.
