Introduction

My work with clients is based in a politics of liberation that aims to always acknowledge structural and cultural systems of oppression. I aim to earn your trust and build safety in our connection. I believe in the power of mindfulness and self-compassion in that we cannot change what we lack awareness of and that the criticism and invalidation so many of us have internalized can be rewritten, little by little. I support people in building a relationship of self-knowledge to notice, shift and move beyond the habits of the mind and our actions that keep us stuck, to let go of unnecessary suffering, to change what is changeable one step at a time, and to learn to cope with and tolerate the pain that is a part of life. I employ dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), EMDR, attachment theory, polyvagal theory etc. through a feminist, anti-capitalist, anti-racist lens to support clients in moving closer to themselves. I work with all adults and have worked predominantly with neurodivergent queer and trans adults. I am myself queer, agender, disabled and multiply neurodivergent. I am candid and a real person who has also struggled. Our first visit could be 15 minutes for a vibe check and to discuss goals, or it could be a longer session where we explore your recent and distant history and come up with a path for moving forward. It will vary depending on the setting, your desires and capacity. I currently only work virtually. I am working to accept more insurances. Please reach out if you have questions or would like to set up a time to talk.
