I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing therapy to children and adolescents in a supportive, developmentally appropriate, and collaborative environment. I bring over 13 years of experience as a school counselor, where I worked closely with students, families, and educators to support emotional well-being, academic stress, and social development. In my private practice, I help children and teens navigate challenges such as anxiety, mood concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, school-related stress, and life transitions. I tailor therapy to each client’s age, needs, and strengths. With younger children, sessions may incorporate play-based or creative activities to support emotional expression and coping skills. With adolescents, therapy often focuses on skill-building, insight, and providing a safe, nonjudgmental space to talk openly about stressors related to school, relationships, identity, and self-esteem. Parent involvement is an important part of child and adolescent therapy. I work collaboratively with parents and caregivers through periodic check-ins or parent consultation sessions to provide guidance, education, and practical strategies that support progress outside of therapy, while also respecting a child or teen’s need for privacy and trust. My therapeutic approach is strengths-based and informed by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, and mindfulness-based techniques. I strive to create a calm, welcoming space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to build skills that promote emotional growth and resilience.
