Welcome! I am a queer, first-generation Mexican American, bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Many of my clients struggle with second-guessing themselves, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling disconnected from what they truly want. Together, we work to understand the patterns that keep you stuck, strengthen your confidence, and help you develop healthier relationships—with yourself and with others. Self-doubt often shows up as a strong internal voice that questions your choices, second-guesses your decisions, or tells you you’re not doing enough. Many people know this voice isn’t fully accurate, but still feel influenced by it in their daily lives. In therapy, we work on noticing these patterns without automatically believing them or letting them take over. Instead of trying to “eliminate” self-doubt, we focus on building a different relationship with it—one where you can recognize it, pause, and choose how you want to respond. Over time, change comes through small, repeated experiences of acting in ways that align with your values, even when you feel uncertain. This helps build self-trust, confidence, and a stronger sense of internal direction. The goal is not to feel perfectly confident all the time, but to feel more grounded in yourself, even when doubt shows up. In my work, I help you slow down and make sense of your internal world—your thoughts, emotions, reactions, and relational patterns. Many people come to therapy knowing what they “should” do, but finding it difficult to follow through in real life when anxiety, self-doubt, or fear of disappointing others takes over. Rather than trying to quickly fix these patterns, we explore where they come from, how they’ve served you, and how they may be limiting you now. Over time, clients often build greater self-trust, clearer boundaries, and a stronger sense of voice in their relationships and daily life. Therapy with me is collaborative and conversational. I’m not here to tell you who to be, but to help you understand yourself more clearly so you can make choices that feel more aligned, intentional, and self-directed. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and self-compassion practices, integrating them based on what is most helpful for each person. Above all, I strive to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow into a more confident and authentic version of yourself. Immigration Mental Health Evaluations In addition to providing psychotherapy, I offer mental health evaluations for individuals seeking immigration relief, including: ~U Visa ~Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions ~Asylum cases These evaluations include a clinical interview, psychosocial assessment, and a written report that may be submitted in support of your immigration case.
