As a licensed professional, I am dedicated and passionate about utilizing my expertise to provide a personalized treatment plan based on evidenced based approaches, to meet the therapeutic needs of each individual/family/couple, I have the privilege of working with. I have learned in my years as mental health practitioner, that much like any other interpersonal relationship, the relationship between client and therapist requires key factors such as safety and trust in order to optimize the client's ability to grow and progress. With that knowingness, I take great responsibility in creating an environment that is consistently safe for clients to feel free to openly express, know that they are cared for, feel comfortable, and at ease to best utilize their time in therapy. I also consistently, practice excellent mental health hygiene and self care in order to be fully present for my clients. I enjoy providing quality, empathy, attentiveness, and compassion to effectively support individuals in achieving their therapeutic goals. In my experience, goals will vary per the individual; however some common examples of goals in therapy may be, to focus on improving the quality of daily functioning, decrease intensity and frequency of undesired symptoms and behaviors, enhance insight as well as learn new skills and further develop the existing skills clients have; in efforts to better manage issues and stressors that are negatively impacting their lives. It is also a common focus to increase positive feelings in ones-self, improve the quality and health of interpersonal relationships, address emotional reactivity, and increase resiliency, amongst many other goals. Some treatment modalities I utilize include trauma informed care, CBT, DBT, Internal family systems, inner child therapy, narrative therapy, person centered.
