Introduction

Hello, I’m Jessica, I know first hand the courage it takes to begin therapy. As a survivor of toxic abusive relationships and family systems, my own healing journey is what led me into this work. Therapy helped me reclaim my voice, my sense of safety, and my connection to my inner child. It is an honor to now walk alongside others as they reconnect with themselves and create lives rooted in authenticity and self-trust. I work with individuals navigating mental health challenges, addiction, and illness. I integrate attachment-based work, parts work, somatic awareness, and practical tools for communication, boundaries, and repair. I bring warmth and curiosity alongside direct feedback and gentle accountability, supporting individuals and couples in moving from reactivity to connection, honesty, and mutual respect. While my clinical training is extensive, the deepest wisdom I bring comes from lived experience, inner child healing, and doing the work myself. I believe healing requires honesty, commitment, and a willingness to look inward, and I am especially passionate about supporting individuals and couples who are ready to make meaningful change and actively engage in the work of healing. I am a Pre-Licensed Professional Counselor and a Substance Use Disorder Registered Counselor, offering compassionate, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care. My background includes training in Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness and Yoga, Attachment-Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR), Spiritual Counseling, and Compassionate Inquiry inspired by Dr. Gabor Maté. I am especially passionate about the Relationship Recovery Process (RRP), a powerful model developed by Amanda Curtin and popularized by Patrick Teahan. RRP supports inner child healing, reparenting, boundary development, and self-advocacy, helping clients repair old wounds and build internal safety. A simple way to look at the RRP Model is to look at 2 primary goals. 1). Finish business with our parents/family. 2). Reclaim intimacy. Areas of Focus: Inner Child Healing & Relationship Recovery Process (RRP) Somatic & Creative Approaches to Trauma AF-EMDR & Bilateral Work for attachment and nervous system regulation Compassionate Inquiry to uncover unconscious patterns, Addiction Recovery Support Parts Work & Trauma Integration, Spiritual Exploration (optional and client-led) Inclusive, Person-Centered Care for neurodivergent and neurotypical clients, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and all communities. Couples Therapy Approach: I am currently intensively training in Terry Real's program and seeking couples or individuals interested in working with this therapuetic orientation. My work with couples is based on Realtional Life Therapy (RLT) developed by Terry Real it is a relational, trauma-informed, and creative, while also being clear, grounded, and straightforward as needed. I help partners understand the deeper patterns beneath conflict, attachment wounds, nervous system responses, and protective behaviors, so they can communicate more effectively and rebuild connection. My Philosophy: I believe therapy should be gentle, accessible, and empowering, while also honoring the importance of personal responsibility and follow-through. Real change happens when insight is paired with action. You are not too much, and it is not too late. Mental health is a right, not a privilege. Everyone deserves access to care, regardless of financial circumstances. Money should never be a barrier to healing. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation as a soft first step toward healing. With kindness, Jessica Maria Garcia, APCC Pre-Licensed Professional Counselor Proudly working under two amzing supervisors: Gillian Scott, LMFT
