Introduction

My name is Jessica Ignacio—though most people call me Jess. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California, and I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from San José State University in 2021. I began my career working primarily with children and adolescents in school-based settings, while also gaining experience supporting adults across a range of life challenges. My own matrescence—my journey into motherhood—has deeply shaped and shifted my clinical passion. As a mother who has navigated a perinatal mental health diagnosis and the work of tending to my own internal parts, I feel a deep commitment to supporting others through this transformative and often overwhelming season. I am especially passionate about increasing awareness around reproductive mental health and the realities many birthing people face without adequate support. My therapeutic approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced with care. I draw from psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) frameworks, while integrating mindfulness and somatic practices to support whole-person healing. Together, we will find a rhythm and approach that feels aligned with your needs and your story. I also offer couples therapy, particularly for those navigating perinatal and parenting experiences.
