I believe we are the experts in our own stories, yet we can all benefit from compassion, genuine connection, and fresh perspectives as we navigate life’s challenges and move toward more inspired and meaningful living. My clinical focus is treating children (8+) and teens who are struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, low self-esteem, social challenges, and/or traumatic stress. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. I specialize in anxiety management, emotional resilience, and development of coping and social skills, using a blend of evidence-based practices that include therapeutic art, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), strengths-based therapy, and accelerated resolution therapy (ART). My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space that fosters authenticity, mindfulness, and personal growth. I also wholeheartedly believe that a little humor and creativity can go a long way! I look forward to helping your child or teen expand their personal insight and develop concrete tools that work for them. Please email me for a consultation to see if we would be a good fit.
