Introduction

Jessica Renteria is a bilingual licensed professional counselor at Mosaic Wholeness Center in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, working with individuals, couples, children, and families who are ready to heal, reconnect, and rediscover who they are, in English or Spanish, at whatever pace they need. Who She Helps Jessica works with a wide range of clients, and that breadth is intentional. She believes healing looks different for everyone, and she has built her clinical skills to reflect that. Whether you are an individual carrying something heavy, a couple trying to find your way back to each other, or a child who needs a safe place to process a confusing world, Jessica shows up with the same unhurried, whole-person attention. She works with: Couples navigating disconnection, communication breakdowns, conflict, or betrayal Individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, OCD, or grief People healing from trauma, including complex and relational trauma Clients navigating eating disorders and their emotional roots Children and teens who need a creative, play-informed therapeutic space Latino and multicultural clients seeking a culturally responsive counselor Individuals integrating faith and spirituality into their healing process Jessica offers both in-person and virtual sessions and provides therapy in both English and Spanish. How She Works Jessica’s approach is holistic, relational, and deeply collaborative. She draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Play Therapy, selecting and weaving tools based on what each client actually needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all framework. For couples especially, she creates a space where both partners feel heard rather than managed, and where the relationship itself becomes a safe place again. Her faith-informed perspective is available for clients who want it woven into the work. Why This Work Jessica is a second-generation Mexican American, and she grew up understanding what it means to move between worlds: different languages, different expectations, different versions of herself depending on the room she is in. She also spent five years as a children’s and youth ministry director at her church, walking alongside young people and families through some of their hardest seasons. Both of those experiences shaped a counselor who genuinely believes that every person, every couple, every child carries more strength than they can currently see, and that the right therapeutic relationship can help them find it. That conviction is what brings her to work every day. Education and Training MA in Mental Health Counseling, Trinity International University Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), State of Illinois Member, American Counseling Association A Little More About Jessica Outside of sessions, Jessica and her husband explore Chicago neighborhoods, try new cultural foods, and find their favorite local cafes in Humboldt Park. She runs and walks with friends, finds restoration in nature, and brings creativity into her everyday life to stay connected to God and herself. That same creativity comes into the therapy room with her. Ready to Take the First Step? Whether you are coming on your own or with your partner, Jessica would love to connect.
