Introduction

Hello and welcome! I’m Jessica, a compassionate therapist with a deep passion for helping individuals and families overcome life’s challenges. Originally from Illinois, I’ve been enjoying sunny Florida since 2019 with my husband of 14 years, our two wonderful children (ages 13 and 9), and our playful 4-year-old chocolate lab. When I’m not on the soccer field cheering my kids on, you’ll often find me lounging by the pool, laying in the sun, or enjoying the calming sounds of the ocean at the beach. I’ve always held onto the belief that “Things happen to us, but they do not have to define us.” Life has a way of throwing curveballs, but how we respond to those challenges is what shapes us. It’s my mission to help you find that inner strength to rise above whatever life throws your way and become the best version of yourself. Education, Experience, and Lifelong Learning I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University and my Master’s degree from Capella University. But for me, learning doesn’t stop at graduation—it’s a lifelong pursuit. I’m always exploring new therapeutic techniques and research to enhance my practice and provide the best care possible. With 15 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals and families from all walks of life, ranging from ages 4 to 65+. Throughout my career, I’ve addressed a wide array of issues, including: Domestic violence Substance use Trauma and its effects Depression and anxiety Both mental and behavioral challenges in children Specializing in Trauma and Mental Health My heart and passion are deeply rooted in working with individuals who have experienced Complex Trauma and PTSD. I understand that trauma doesn’t simply fade away—it affects every aspect of our lives, influencing our thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. That’s why I am committed to helping people heal from past wounds and break free from the grip trauma has on their present and future. In addition, I specialize in working with individuals facing Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, and Behavioral Issues. I’ve witnessed how early intervention, especially with children, can profoundly change the trajectory of a person’s life. By addressing trauma at its core, we can prevent a lifetime of challenges that often arise from unhealed wounds and empower individuals to move forward with confidence and resilience. Helping Children and Families Thrive Children are often misunderstood or unable to express their emotions in a healthy way, which can lead to defiant behavior, anger, and even violence. I work closely with both children and their families to implement strategies for better communication, emotional expression, and behavior management. The goal is to help children feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate the world around them with greater resilience and self-regulation. Supporting Military Families As a military spouse myself, I deeply understand the unique struggles faced by military families. From the stress of deployments to the emotional toll of frequent moves, military families face pressures that many people can’t begin to imagine. This often leads to anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health challenges. I am dedicated to helping military families navigate these hurdles, build resilience, and find balance in the face of life’s uncertainties. My Therapeutic Approach I approach therapy as a deeply personal and collaborative journey. My primary therapeutic method is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps individuals recognize and challenge negative thinking patterns that lead to unhealthy behaviors. Through CBT, we work together to: Identify and transform unhelpful thought patterns Build coping skills that lead to healthier responses to stress Foster a positive, solution-focused mindset Therapy isn’t just about solving problems—it’s about creating lasting transformation. I’m here to walk beside you as you push past your limits, uncover the root of your challenges, and develop the strategies needed for growth. Together, we’ll build a personalized plan that holds you accountable, challenging you to reach deeper and accomplish things you never thought possible. As your accountability partner, I’ll be there every step of the way, ensuring you stay committed, break through obstacles, and gain the confidence to move forward toward lasting change. What Drives Me: Empowering You to Live Your Best Life My greatest joy is witnessing clients gain clarity, confidence, and new perspectives as they navigate life’s challenges with renewed optimism. Therapy is about more than just healing—it’s about self-discovery, empowerment, and ultimately, transformation. My goal is to help you see the possibilities in your life, challenge your limits, and step into a future that feels hopeful, empowered, and full of potential. Whether you’re working through trauma, navigating family dynamics, or simply seeking to become the best version of yourself, I’m here to help. Together, we’ll create a safe, supportive space for you to explore, heal, and grow. Let’s work together to rewrite your story—one of resilience, healing, and empowerment.
