Introduction

My interest in trauma studies began in graduate school, when my brother was deployed to Iraq. My specialities widened when I volunteered training Service Dogs. I married a Veteran. I am a 15 year member of the SD National Guard. My treatment focus includes the wide scope of Trauma; Substance use; Codependence; a special focus on the family members of those veterans, and family members of those struggling with SUD; and childhood trauma. I offer pathways to working with a Service Dog and the resourcing for that. Treatment strategies include Expressive Therapies, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Based methods, and person centered care.
