Hi, I'm Jessica and I love supporting youth and their families to bring out confidence and build healthy relationship patterns to support them as they grow in today's world. I have background in Expressive Arts Therapy and bring creative approaches including art, play, dance, and drama therapy techniques as entry points into cognitive behavioral interventions and strategies to assist with behavior, emotion regulation, and understanding of one's self. My philosophical goal as a therapist is to help people I work with curate more joy into their lives. I believe that curiosity is the antidote to depression. Let's get curious together! I am a person-centered therapist, meaning that you are in the drivers' seat and I am with you compassionately helping you navigate your own map with some pit stops along the way. I start very loose in style and non-directive in either play or talk therapy, learning what is important to you and your child and building trust. As we get to know each other, I offer tools, strategies, and new perspectives to help navigate with more joy and less stress. I often work with those navigating Anxiety, Panic, OCD symptoms, ADHD, Neurodiversity, and Mood Dysregulation. I create a casual, friendly approach to learning about your family with open-ended questions that will flow to cover the basics needed to get to know each other and build the start of our working relationship. We will together make a plan for how to best proceed for your individual families' needs. If I'm working with your child, then at the first session, I will meet with the parent for the first half of the session and then spend the second half individually getting to know your child. For younger children, I start off with play, following their amazing lead and joining in when they feel ready.
