I am passionate about working with people experiencing anxiety and struggling with self esteem and I understand the confusion and loneliness it can cause. I believe internal conflict often stems from avoiding different fears and discomforts, which leads to unrealistic expectations and self judgment. I use an approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to increase awareness of emotions and values with the goal of knowing and accepting all parts of yourself. I hope to guide you to be able to be present and feel connected to the people and things you care about once again. I also work with all types of trauma and understand the impact this can have. This can often hold us in the past and lead to unhelpful views of ourselves and the world. I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) based techniques where I challenge these beliefs that likely came about to protect ourselves in the past but may not be realistic or helpful now. I am happy to provide both in-person and telehealth counseling to individuals and couples. Please call or email to schedule a free 20-minute phone consultation to meet each other and make sure we are a good match. I look forward to meeting you!
