My name is Jimmy, and my life is shaped first and foremost by my faith in God. I am also a husband, father, friend, and now, a therapist dedicated to walking alongside people in their hardest seasons. After serving 18 years in law enforcement, I discovered my next calling: helping individuals and couples find hope, healing, and a renewed sense of purpose. My approach to therapy is grounded in a faith-based foundation while drawing from Structural Family Therapy (SFT), mixed with some Gottman. I believe that no life is outside of God’s plan—and in that plan, there is no such thing as failure, only opportunities to grow. Whether you are struggling in your marriage, facing personal hardships, or seeking direction, I aim to provide a safe and compassionate space where you can explore your story and move toward the life you were created for. In Texas, I am under the supervision of Rachel Pendergraft, LMFT-S (rachelpmft@gmail.com), and in Idaho, I am under the supervision of Jeremiah Guidos, LCP-C (healthyperspectives@protonmail.com). I hold a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Administration from Wayland Baptist University. My years as a police officer gave me a unique understanding of the pressures of public service, trauma, and the stressors life can throw at us. Those experiences shaped my heart for helping others navigate pain, rebuild connections, and embrace the good that lies ahead. Whether you are an individual carrying a heavy burden or a couple working to strengthen your relationship, I am here to walk with you on this journey of healing and growth. I currently hold a Texas Master Peace Officer license with many other certifications, including Mental Health Officer, Police Instructor, ALERRT Instructor, Cybercrime Investigator, etc. When I am not helping others, I enjoy spending time with my wife of 15 years and our two daughters. We enjoy traveling, road trips, trying new restaurants, or the occasional lazy day on the couch!! I enjoy collecting and building firearms, hunting, smoking cigars, driving backroads or pastures in my UTV, and working on my truck (when it's a fun upgrade and not an unexpected breakdown)! Isiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
