Wolff, LISW-CP(S), CTTS I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Approved Clinicial Supervisor and Certified Trauma Treatment Specialist with more than 40 years of experience providing trauma-focused mental health care, crisis intervention, and disaster response across public, private, and governmental settings. My career has included leadership of multidisciplinary crisis response teams and direct clinical support following nationally significant traumatic events, including the Boston Marathon Bombing, the Aurora and Lafayette theater shootings, and the Las Vegas mass casualty event. I have also served as a mental health consultant to global security risk organizations, supporting individuals and families impacted by domestic terrorism and hostage situations. In addition to clinical practice, I am a former juvenile probation officer with the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice and a former graduate-level adjunct instructor at the University of South Carolina. Teaching, mentoring, and serving others have been central to my professional purpose. I have extensive experience working with organizations and corporate leaders to promote trauma-informed care, organizational resilience, and workplace violence prevention. I currently provide behavioral health support to members of the South Carolina Air and Army National Guard. My professional service includes board membership with the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists, Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical Advisory Board, and the Institute of Trauma Informed Care at Columbia College. I have provided national training in active assailant response, workplace violence prevention, and corporate crisis management (URMIA, RIMS, AIG) Throughout South Carolina, I serve on multiple Employee Assistance Program (EAP) networks and am frequently identified as a preferred provider for Critical Incident Response services. My advanced training includes Critical Incident Stress Management (ICISF), EMDR, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, family systems, and somatic-based approaches My approach is grounded in safety, stabilization, and respect. I focus on helping people build practical coping tools, strengthen emotional regulation, and move forward with clarity and resilience. Services for Organizations & High-Stress Professions JJ Wolff Counseling Services offers trauma-informed mental health consultation and support for organizations, leadership teams, and professionals impacted by critical incidents, workplace violence, and high-stress environments. Services may include post-incident support, trauma-informed consultation, and crisis recovery guidance. Availability is dependent on jurisdictional regulations and service type. Licensure & TeleMental Health Services Clinical services are provided in accordance with applicable state licensure laws and professional regulations. Telemental health and structured telephone support are offered when clinically appropriate and permitted by jurisdictional requirements.
