Hello and welcome. My name is Joana Torres-Fonseca, and I’m the therapist behind JTF Counseling. I provide a compassionate space where clients can feel safe, understood, and supported. I was drawn to the counseling field through a genuine desire to help individuals navigate life’s challenges, process difficult experiences, and develop healthier ways of coping and connecting. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and is tailored to honor each client’s unique background, values, and needs. I work with children, teens, and adults, offering support for anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, stress, grief, self-esteem concerns, anger management, parenting challenges, relationship issues, and major life transitions. Through a collaborative and thoughtful approach, I help clients build practical skills, strengthen emotional resilience, and create meaningful change that supports long-term healing, growth, and balance.
