When faced with challenges in my life, I often ran into the illusion of help without actually getting any. So I became a social worker to be a resource and support people who are motivated to change unhealthy behaviors and learn new behaviors that support growth. I see my role as helping you to achieve your goals, removing old unhealthy coping skills and building positive problem solving skills to help you succeed at your goals. It is not enough to manage anxiety, we will strive to make anxiety unnecessary. Depression doesn't have to keep you down, how about learning not to have depression at all? That's the goal of therapy. Not to become dependent on providers to keep it together but to make changes that render my services no longer necessary.
